Chief Adjudicator

Mrs. Victoria Clancy, LSDA, ATCL.

Vice-President of the Speech and Drama Association NSW, Australia

Director of the City of Sydney Cultural Council

Victoria Clancy is an experienced teacher of Speech and Drama in primary and secondary schools, as well as organising workshops for senior drama and debating students. As a speech consultant at tertiary level she is involved in voice work with actors and professional speakers.

As Chairperson of the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) Federal Speech and Drama Panel she is currently working with colleagues on syllabus development. She is also Chairperson of the Speech and Drama Standing Committee AMEB (NSW) which brings together the expertise of representatives of teachers and examiners, as well as from university and theatre bodies. Victoria Clancy is Vice-President of the Speech and Drama Association NSW and a Director of the City of Sydney Cultural Council.

An adjudicator at Speech and Drama Festivals throughout Australia she encourages performers at all levels to develop their talent in Drama and Communication skills. Victoria’s discerning comments are valued by candidates and competitors. She brings to the AMEB her expertise in theatre and drama education and her interest in promoting good speech extends now to those for whom English is not their first language.
